You can just about guarantee that NDSU and SDSU will be either a 1, 8 seed or a 2, 7 seed or a 3, 6 seed or a 4, 5 seed.
We will never see one of them be a 1,4,5,8 seed and the other be a 2,3,6,7 seed.
Regionalization within 400 miles. What. A. Crock. Of. Shit.
Seed the whole fucking bracket or GTFO. What is the point even?
How are the conference representatives on the committee selected?

Is not the purpose of seeding a tournament to get the "best teams" to the finals. If the committee did the job correctly, we should end up with a 1-4 and 2-3 matchups in the semi-finals. Yes I know upsets can happen. But really and truly are there more that 4-5 teams capable to running the table to win this????

Well, it's been 9 years since a team seeded lower than #5 won a title (Richmond in 2008). There were only 4 seeds back then also so maybe Richmond would've been seeded #5 had they seeded 8 like they do today.
I think the format of only seeding the top 8 and regionalizing from there is fine, I just wish they would avoid any potential regular season rematches until at least the quarterfinals.
I don't care what the anti FBS folks say, the way FCS structures the playoff bracket (bush league) NDSU might just as well be DII. I would rather NDSU be FBS with all it's faults and play big boy football for a chance at a bowl game than deal with this crap.
