I doubt the NCAA would put 4 teams from one conference into separate corners of the bracket.

USD or UNI would be fed into SDSU...if it was UNI they could feed USD into NDSU. Gotta have those bus trips.

I would look for SDSU to be ranked 6th so they meet NDSU early, If NDSU gets a 3 seed you can bet either USD or SDSU will get handed a #6. The FCS committee is a fraud and will force two MV powers to faceoff early. NO WAY the committee would dare format this tourney as shown above, It would be great if they did though.

We are in the time of year when polls matter. Late season polls are not only a verification of past performance but also an indicator of what direction the voters feel that team’s trend may be. Poll voters are not blind. They see the plethora of injuries and the uneven play. They see the turnovers and the decline of dominance on the lines. They see that NDSU can no longer dominate TOP, run the ball effectively or maintain drives. If I was a poll voter, my #2 ranking of NDSU would have been very tentative given the way they were playing lately and thus the SDSU loss was a just a verification that NDSU is, indeed, very vulnerable. NDSU needs to turn it around in the next two weeks or the poll voters will view it as a late season collapse.

Everyone wants to knock the top dog off their perch. I said it before and will say it again. If NDSU and SDSU win out they will meet in the second round as #3 - #6 seeds Or #2 - #7. Its a great way for the pollsters to get one big dog out early.
