Why would it have been pointless when they weren’t stopping the run even when stacking the box? I said it in a mother thread, we chose to abandon the run they did not make us. Although we are physical, we didn't play a physical style.

We panicked and went away from Bison football. Had we ran the ball early it would have paid dividends late. Instead SDSU is going to be fresh next week since we didn't wear them out by hitting them early

Guess what. SDSU gives scholarships. They have coaches. Thy also have strength and conditioning coaches. There is more parity in this league because of that fact. It was common 3-4 years ago that we would dominate in the 3-4 quarter. Look at the teams we play now. They have big in shape athletes playing the line. Plus they have great athletes playing the skill positions. We are no longer the big fish in the little pond.

Other than that---we lost a football game. Life goes on. The sun will rise tomorrow.
