Just stay in Watertown. Plenty of hotel rooms and it's an easy drive. Don't contribute anything more than necessary to Brookings. Plus Watertown is a Bison hotbed since one of their own, Waege, is now a Bison.

I don't really blame the hotels for wanting to cater to fans who will stay multiple nights. Given the lack of hotels in Brookings I'm sure the weekend of a big game like this there's more than enough folks wanting a room Friday and Saturday night to fill up all the hotels.

You don't take Brookings hookers to a hotel... there's some really nice pastures they usually hang out at that are within walking distance of the Dickhouse that work just fine (and are free!).

Folks, get to the game. No excuses. I don't want to hear about not spending money in SD, 2 night stays, SDSU not selling tickets, etc. There are tickets to be had; just go get them. Happy to help if any need to be picked up in Sioux Falls, etc.

Happens in Minneapolis too. Just experienced it for a concert this summer, on top of numerous other occasions. This is pretty widespread and definitely an industry standard way of doing business.
