    Default 2017-2018 College Basketball Thread

Interesting women’s exhibition basketball game tonight in Brookings,
MSU Moorhead takes on the Jackrabbits at 7:00. SDSU picked to finish 1st in the Summit, MSU Moorhead picked to finish 1st in the NSIC. Drew Sannes, 6’ 3” F/C, Preseason Player of the Year in the NSIC. (15.3 ppg, 8.3 rpg). Sannes is from Hawley, kinda disappointed she is not a Bison. Too bad, but I believe that was the previous coach who was not interested (along with other D1 coaches).
So can the Dragons hang with the Big-Time Jackrabbits?
    At least for a while???
If NDSU is going to keep scheduling D2 teams to get home games, would like to see Moorhead back on the schedule. Both men’s and women’s. The Dragons, being local, might help sell out the SHAC, maybe bring some atmosphere to an early season game......

MSUM's conference-mate Northern State took Arizona State to double OT last night in an exhibition before eventually losing 98-90.

Kansas star freshman to be held out against South Dakota State tonight - ESPN3 7:00

    http://www.espn.com/mens-college-bas...ident-complete

Jayhawks coach Bill Self suspended Preston just minutes before Friday's season opener against Tennessee State, after he learned Preston broke curfew and also missed a class the morning of the game.

"On Saturday, Billy was involved in a single-vehicle incident on-campus," Self said in a statement released just before Tuesday night's game. "There were no injuries but Billy's car sustained damage. After I learned about the incident, I reported it to our administration. The administration determined that we needed a clearer financial picture specific to the vehicle, we decided to hold him out of tonight's game and will continue to do that until the review is complete."
Like LiAngelo Ball of UCLA, puts a different picture to any possible one-and-done strategy......

Watching Kansas/Penn. No matter what happens down the stretch, Penn looks better than any time I watched NDSU this year. I'm guessing Penn isn't any guys that wouldn't qualify as "Bison" guys. Penn hasn't been doing anything spectacular just hanging with KS. This has reinforced my opinion DR needs to go.

    Dauminator time!
Jackrabbits’ fine season got them a #12 seed seed, now take out those Thee Ohio Staters!
Candace Parker thinks the Jacks can pull the upset, good enough for me!

Was glad to see Oklahoma lose to Rhode Island.
At 18-14, 8-10 non-con, the Sooners NCAA spot should have gone to someone else. Heard there were no mid-major at large picks, would rather see another one of the mid-majors than an 18-14 P5.

Ohio St. has already made eight 3's so far in the first half, they average 6+ a game. Otherwise they'd be down to the Jacks but they are stretching a lead out right before half.

Huge bonus for the Jacks if Key is going to be hitting 3's, already has 3.
