    Seems atypical to pay somebody to retire and then immediately hire a replacement.

    His was not a tenured or contract position so UND could have simply refused to renew his contract.

    I heard the new AD will be a lawyer. This way they can defend all players from dui and drug charges and then in spare time defend students and professors from kiddy porn charges. They will be awfully busy.
