    Isn't that type of early retirement usually done as a budget-cutting measure? That is, schools pay money up front to get people to retire early to reduce payroll... but that only makes sense if they are not hiring a replacement.

    Seems atypical to pay somebody to retire and then immediately hire a replacement.

    His was not a tenured or contract position so UND could have simply refused to renew his contract.

    Saw or heard somewhere that Faison and UND are both not allowed to say anything Disparaging against each other as part of the package.
    Until after Jul 2019 of course.

    So to summarize, UN_ gains nothing from this deal other than Faison gone with a gag over his mouth.

    I find it hilarious at how some UN_ posters try and say this was a retirement and that is all. Tony hit the nail on the head in his post a few back. Time to come back to reality hawk fans.

    UN_ retires a D. Seems legit. To be fair their D wasn't doing shit this year, he should have seen this coming.
