Our backfield defense sucks period. It has been 3 years and we have not improved very much. Jake Wieneke was nobody when CJ Smith was covering him in the backfield. Now with this new crew, Robbie Grimsley, Jalen Alison, Trey Dempsey, Wimbush and all, all of a sudden Wineke is an All American , All Conference type player and Goedert is a future NFL player.

Today we made YSU receivers famous. They never had a receiving TD coming in, but our backfield defense is so weak they easily got in the endzone many times. With this poor quality of defending in the backfield I dont think we will against JackRabbits or Cayotes we are a playoff team at best, not more than that.
You cannot honestly believe the shit you type do you? Weineke had 150 catches for 2900 yards and 27 TDs in 2014 and 2015. He didn't just suddenly become an All-American when CJ Smith left.

" Our strategy for winning against BISON was simple, we put our WRs and RBs in a 1 on 1 situation with their defense in the backfield.....everybody knows they have some freshman who cannot tackle in a 1 on 1 situation.....Joe Glen"

Pellini's spat with his Asst. Coach was great entertainment.

The Man-On-The-Moon Cam shot of Wentz's punch was very interesting.
Tell me more about the punch Wentz made. I was ordering another beer and missed seeing any punch replayed. What made him punch? A YSU cheap shot? Another crap call by ref earlier in game with offsetting penalties. With the way the Bison played, not to lose, and bad calls by refs, NDSU was lucky to come out with a win.

they were locked up and swinging back and forth knocking each other's handoffs each other's facemasks...... regular chippy KO stuff nothing serious at all. W kept going after the play. He did not hit the other guy.

NO shit, when the game goes to overtime either teams is lucky to win

Is anyone concerned that our QB ran for 174 and threw for 113.

From the camera apparently placed a mile from the stadium the Wentz punch looked more like the Morlock "punch" at Montana where he was ripping his arm through to knock someone's hand off him and less like everyone's favorite TE from Brookings right jab to the kidneys kinda punch.

Need a shot from a camera in the same zip code to verify though.

I'm going to take partial blame. You see, I brought my NDSU hat with me to work today and when I got off at 5 I had to quickly run to the store and buy a brisket and then run and pick up my kids. In my haste to get all of that done I forgot my hat at work and didn't have time to run back and get it before kickoff. So I made a choice based on my time management. I believe Klieman sensed that disturbance in the force and that threw off HIS time management. Fortunately I had my daughter sitting on my lap watching the game with HER Bison beanie on so I'm pretty sure she won the game for us. That's gotta be worth a 1 year scholarship to NDSU for her, right?
