Sounds like pure gamesmanship. A YSU poster on AGS said his injury has a 4 week recovery timeline from when he reaggravated it against SDSU 2 weeks ago. It's a sprained throwing shoulder from what I understand so I doubt they'd want to push him to come back early but if they try it would probably be a good thing for NDSU.

Pretty sure the rapist recruiter tried to claim he had a chance to go last week against USD as well.
