I don't mean this in a negative way at all, as I believe Ross is a pretty objective observer, and I really appreciate the insight he shares. But I recall him being very high on Easton earlier in the season. I don't watch enough football to be able to break it down and determine whether Easton is still that good and has had some struggles, or if Ross has toned down his praise a bit.

Personally, I really like Stick and think very highly of him on and off the field, but I have been curious about that stretch of games with less than stellar productivity.

ah you're right. I was looking at some of his high school film and the angle was very tight. could only see the wishbone. Either way, though, my point stands. They ran an archaic offense at Holmen.

    Kind of like Wofford?

Kind, of, though even moreso. Most of what Wofford runs is a 3 RB 0 TE 2 WR offense, whether it's under center in shotgun. Holmen's offense was basically never in shotgun (from what's available on Hudl) and used mostly 3 RB 1 TE 1 WR looks. That's your basic Wing-T. Old school ball, baby.

Based on a few of our "expert" posters here, that makes Wentz worse than an average FCS QB his Junior year.

BTW, here are Brock's Junior numbers for 15 games:

    Yards Passing: 2,331
    Yards/Attempt: 6.90
    TD/INT: 17/8
    Rushing Yards (Net): 357
    Rush TDs: 12
    Total TDs: 29

Man, we've been blessed with good players, let alone at the QB position.
    Hail the BISON!!!

This doesn't even have to be purple. There are fools on here who legitimately think Stick is a COMPLETE scrub. The internet is written in INK gentleman. Look no further than the stick thread after the SDSU game as proof of these pathetic fans' paper tiger fandom.

I do find it interesting how surprised I am that sticks numbers as a junior are better than Carsons and Brock's though. I guess I've let all the fake news about Stick sucking get to me!
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS

I sure hope he keeps stinkin’ it up.

Only numbers that matter: 33W. 3L. (Do I have that right?)

I don't think anybody said he's a scrub or that he flat out sucks. The reason you're surprised is because numbers don't tell the whole story. When Stick's off, he's way off. My memory, which may not be accurate, seems to indicate he's way more inconsistent than Brock or Carson. Maybe he hasn't been at 100% at times, I don't know, but I think that's why most people would be surprised at the numbers. He'll need to be better in the title game than he was against JMU last year or SDSU this year, I think we can all agree on that. And I think he will be.

This is not a knock on Easton but he had started about 20 games before his junior year. Carson's junior year was the first time he saw significant playing time.
