    #1 in scoring offense and #1 in scoring defense. How often does that happen? I don't expect us to stay at the top of each category for long as we face stronger opponents.

    In conference only stats we are:
    1st in scoring defense and total defense.
    3rd in scoring offense and total offense.

    Tough to break given the remaining schedule, but the 9.2 ppg allowed is just over 2 ppg ahead of the 2013 squad's season average of 11.3.

    A shut out this weekend would lower the number to 7.9 ppg.

    I know we are doing a lot of really cool things both offensively and defensively and as was stated these will change as our schedule gets much more difficult. I just hope this doesn't turn into a Sam Houston State type of thread because right now it kind of does. Oh wait you put defense in there too

    #2 Scoring Offense: 38.7 ppg (Sam Houston was #1 with 43.3)
    #4 Passing Efficiency: 163.15
    #1 Total Defense: 237.4 ypg
    #6 Rushing Defense: 89.5 ypg
    #3 Passing Yards Allowed: 147.9 ypg
    #2 Passing Eff. Defense: 93.12
    #2 Scoring Defense: 11.6 ppg (James Madison was #1 with 11.2)
    #5 Time of Possession: 33:43

    NDSU scored 581 and opponents scored 174. That's tied for the most points NDSU has scored in a season with 2013.

    I don't care where you're from. That's a DAMN good team. Our worst category there is rushing defense. Considering the nature of the MVFC, I think there is no doubt who is the best team in the country. That beautiful trophy just proves it.
