I get that they are underwhelmed by the hire. And maybe they are using the PSU thing to make their point I dont know. But Lets break this down.
Are you claiming that Tennesee fans wouldnt have a problem with Urban meyer being hired?

I disagree. But only because He wouldnt be the URBAN meyer he currently is. Mainly because 'IF' Urban meyer was on PSU staff at that time he would not be head coach at OSU right now and have all the success he has. his path would have been a very different one any may not even be in coaching? We dont know. But he most likely would not be the giant home run he currently is. So the point is MOOT. Its called the butterfly effect I think?
YOu guys are asking hypothetically how their reaction would be if it was Meyer and he had been at PSU, using it when it fits your argument and not looking at how him being at PSU would have changed his career path.
I don't care how the vote ended up. They still suck and always will.

It didn't change Schiano's career path until now...so what are you trying to say? He was an NFL head coach and currently the DC at one of the most successful FBS programs in the country. The only way that would have been different is if he was successful in the NFL.
What point are you trying to make with the "career path" angle? The PSU shit didn't come out until last year. What are you not understanding? Urban Meyer would have been Urban Meyer still because he was at Florida awhile ago...when did the Sandusky stuff come out? When did the Schiano stuff come out? Last year. I'm just baffled.

You are assuming he knew about it and you are assuming he knew about it for decades.
So heres a question---you hear a rumor at the shop that so and so who works for you beats his wife. Do you futher that rumor and do you report it. So lets say you report it. The cops come in which means the news gets involved but they find nothing because theres nothing to find. Now your employee or ex employee by now his reputation is smeared as a wife beater. Just because of an unfounded rumor. Even though there is nothing he will be forever know as---he got arrested for wife beating but they didnt find anything.
What do you do now? Because once you start the rumor ball it keeps rolling and it will never go away.
