Denver U and Coach Rodney Billups successful in recruiting the Twin Cities again - from Minnehaha Academy - 6’ 7” 230 PF JaVonni Bickham. Considered a top 6 recruit in the state of Minnesota. Minnehaha Academy battled against Crosby- Ironton & current Bison TE Noah Gindorff in the state championship game, winning the 2A title.

Bickham also had offers from UTEP, Memphis and New Mexico

JaVonni Bickham is a teammate of Jalen Suggs, a 6’ 3” PG who is considered one of the top recruits in the 2020 class.
Suggs already has offers from Baylor, Georgia Tech, Creighton, Iowa, Iowa State, and Minnesota with more on the way.

Denver also has a verbal from a Texas HS guard - Jase Townsend - Dallas Skyline

The 6-3 Townsend averaged a team-leading 17 points per game to help Skyline reach the state tournament for the first time last season. Skyline finished 34-2, losing 46-43 in triple overtime in a Class 6A state semifinal to eventual state champion Cypress Falls.

South Dakota with a good get - 6’ 6” 195 Sam Griesel - Lincoln (NB) East.
Had a NDSU offer at one time, after the Jaxon Knotek verbal don’t know if he still did.

Griesel ended his college basketball recruitment Monday by committing to South Dakota after also taking official visits to Omaha, North Dakota State and South Dakota State. He also had offers from Drake, Dartmouth and Presbyterian.

Looks like South Dakota previously received a verbal from a 6’ 1” PG/SG from Oklahoma, Tauriawn Knight.
Had an offer from Charleston Southern and D2 schools. His scouting report:

Knight is a Point Guard with a skill set that allows him to thrive at both the Point Guard spot or to play off the ball.

He has a solid handle with good court vision and crisp passes. As a scorer Knight dominates defenders getting to the rim and finishing strong. Another thing that puts Knight in a notch above others is the tenacity he plays with on the defensive end. Knight seems to come away with a few steals each game.

Very good get for Craig. The Husker/Lincoln ties along with their new facilities and location to Lincoln beat us. We did want him bad. Very good late bloomer.
Everyone just relax, all right? Believe me, if there's one thing Ron Burgundy knows, it's women.
