Default Fargodome Video Boards (Let's Compare)

I recently saw a shot of the Fargodome and remembered some discussion a while back regarding the total square footage of the video boards and how that number stacks up to ANY of the other college football stadiums in the country.

Now, I'll reference the site where I'm pulling other school's board information from, but I don't know if these school have secondary boards (or multiple boards as the FFD does. So, this "bragging point" may not be 100% complete. Nonetheless, the bottom line is that that dang Fargodome has a shit ton of HD video.

This website lists the top 25 sized video boards in college football. (Again, all of the boards in this top 25 list feature just one board. I gotta believe that some of these facilities have secondary boards. Certainly, many big time stadiums have ribbon boards that circle much of the their upper deck facades. That being said, no ribbon board displays (including NDSU's; will be represented in the total square footage listed below).

    http://www.foxsports.com/southwest/g...-boards-081215

    #25: Vanderbilt: 50' X 72' = 3,600 square feet.

    #24: Wake Forest: 92' X 32' = 3,780 square feet.

    #23: Iowa: 122' X 31' = 3,782 square feet.

    #22: Texas Tech: 100' X 38' = 3,800 square feet.

    #21: Nebraska: 117.6' X 33.6' = 3,951 square feet.

    #20: Michigan: 85' X 47' = 3,995 square feet.

    #19: Florida: 137' X 30' = 4,110.

    #18: Wisconsin: 101' X 42' = 4,242 square feet.

    #17: Virginia Tech: 95.75' X 43.35' = 4,342 square feet.

    #16: South Carolina: 124' X 36' = 4,464 square feet.

    #15: Tennessee: 124' X 37' = 4,588 square feet.

    #14: Memphis: 98' X 48' = 4,704 square feet.

    #13: Baylor: 107' X 47' = 5,029 square feet.

    #12: Minnesota: 108' X 48' = 5,208 square feet.

    #11: Ohio State: 124' X 42' = 5,208 square feet.

    #10: Mississippi State: 111' X 47' = 5,217 square feet.

    # 9: Arizona: 112' X 47' = 5,264 square feet.

    # 8: Michigan State: 114' X 47' = 5,300 square feet.

    # 7: USC: 150' X 40' = 6,000 square feet.

    # 6: Arkansas: 166.3' X 37.8' = 6,286 square feet.

    # 5: Miami: 137' X 50' = 6,715 square feet.

    # 4: Texas: 134' X 55' = 7,370 square feet.

    # 3: Texas A & M: 166' X 47' = 7,661 square feet.

    # 2: Oklahoma: 167' X 47' = 7,849 square feet.

    # 1: Auburn: 190' X 57' = 10,830 square feet.

NDSU: North End Zone, South End Zone, SW Corner, SE Corner, NW Corner, NE Corner, Backside of North End Zone, Backside of South End Zone:

    8,112 total square feet.

Even if only the 2 primary boards in each end zone were compared, that combined 5,900 square feet would rank at #7.

Impressive but I've been told in other facets of my life that size doesn't matter and I think it applies her too. It's not the size of the...video boards, in this case, it's how you use them. And I feel that the FFD now has the perfect video board set up for it's size and configuration.
    Don't matter. FIVE-PEAT!

As far as HD video boards go, we are arguably NFL caliber. Some places have bigger boards but they are not full HD

Well.................which one do you want to call the main one? The North or South end zone.

    Each is 29' X 100' for 2,900 square feet.

Maybe you mean.............which one can't we see because it's mounted behind a few thousand fans...............oh wait...........that's in bunnyville.

Perhaps NDSU should just rip those fuckers down and sell them to a Texas high school and go old school (like the one below)...................PL.................though ts?
