Not sure why they want Plank in there unless Cox hasn't grasped the mental side of the game. Plank just doesn't have the size or athleticism as the others. I'd prefer Deluca at MLB. I suppose they'll run quite a bit of nickel and Plank won't be out there anyway.

Here is yesterday's depth chart for DE



Menard is the d-lines' best pass rusher and has the best quickness. Will be interesting to see how the coaches try to compensate for this loss. When I have watched Caleb Butler, he was being utilized as a read-and-react kind
of DT during passing downs. Perhaps if the coaches play him as the DE that needs to get upfield, he may be capable of applying more pressure on the opponents QB.

If Spencer Waege has pass-rush quickness, then great, play him as a true
freshman. He would have the entire season then to get enough pt to make it worthwhile not redshirting.

I dream on someone the size of sophomore Derrek Tuszka - listed at 6' 5" 245 - also having pass rush ability. (Waege is listed at 6' 4" 245)
