Minimizing preseason hits a good idea for Hunter.

Would’ve loved to see him get the ball some though

Well, Hunter is getting a lot snaps but looks like mostly just blocking and then running deep to clear a LB out from underneath...

Yeah he’s going to play a lot this year. He’s not going to get the ball 10 times a game. 2 receptions to essentially pick up first downs is great production to go with his stellar lead blocking. From how it’s been explained to me, McCarthy likes him because it forces opposing defenses to pick base or nickel personnel and Dallas can call plays to their advantage.

He may get quite a bit more play with Ferguson (TE) appearing to get a high ankle sprain.

Not a great week. For Hunter or for the Cowboys either one. He will come back.

Couple nice plays for Hunter this week (in addition to all of the unsung/workman stuff he does every game).

Jerry Jones did a big mistake. Not one but several.

    1) He did not sign Derik Henry when he was available, instead he signed Zeke.
    2) No serious threat in the receiving game besides Lamb.
    3) Paying Dak $260 million for 4 years , who is nothing but average.

I think this puts Cowboys back by 3-4 years. I dont see Mike McCarthy staying as the HC after this season. They should have pulled the plug on Dak and made Trey as the staring QB. If the season tanks Trey is out and Cowboys get to start the rebuild immediately during the offseason. What a cluster F this team is, now.
