As is the case with all schools in the modern internet era, the Central Michigan Chippewas athletics website allows one to browse through past football seasons schedules.

There are 19 seasons that are available for viewing. (1999 through 2018)….No BAudit, my math isn't off...ONE season is not on the search menu....2007...….

And this is why you would have never beaten Georgia Southern from 1997 - 2001 even if you were 1aa!

Georgia Southern Spread Option Football - Out weighed but seldom out played! Of course, GSU doesn’t run the Spread anymore – but still!

I'm not so sure...Bison have done a pretty good job of shutting down feature backs, even running the option. Bigger difficulty now is the QB who's a dual threat.

Thanks - few like a TRUE Triple Option team. GSU running the Pistol Option - nope

The difference is that GSU could run all 3 phases of the triple option at that time & supplemental running plays. The blocking was great, Fullback was never held under 100 yards for 4 years, the QBs could run and pass, The slot backs were fast on the pitch & our wide outs could block and catch the ball. (The total package for a T-Option Team.)

    Meh Lamar Gordon was better.

But ya you are right 1997-2001 Bison teams were average at best.

Talon, a better question is: Could any of those GSU teams have beaten the 1986 Bison? A veer team that was unstoppable and seen as a top 20 team in all of college football.
