I don't know how big an issue it was up at UND but the increased travel of the Big Sky had to be one of the reasons for all of the cuts they have had to do over the last few years. For the health of NDSU sports, I think we need at least a few Dakota schools in whatever conference we are in to keep those travel costs down.
Moving ALL SPORTS up, elevates all sports. Elevates the entire University. Summit is not where NDSU belongs, 0 peer institutions. yes travel is cute and bus trips, blah blah. but flying Fargo to Chicago/Denver is cheap. if Summit implodes, maybe it'll finally lights a fire under someone's ass.
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?

Phoenix-Denver is about a 12 h drive. If the Summit sheds eastern teams, might not be unreasonable. Certainly a better fit than the Horizon.

Always liked Majerle as a player. Not flashy, knew his role, executed.

Summit could add Grand Canyon and New Mexico State?

...but then we'd be like the BSC or the WAC...

Can the Summit League throw in some cash to make sure this happens???

Don't have baseball. 14-18 in men's hoops with an RPI of 217. This is a gift.

I doubt it. The Big sky wouldn't pony up any cash for UND to leave so it's doubtful any payment will be forthcoming on this exit

They waived UND's exit fee, so they kind of did.

I hope it's IUPUI but you know damn well Fort Wayne if they were looking before, they will now jump ship in a heartbeat. No travel partners. That would suck for them.
