There are practical matters, and airports with more than 5 gates, at play here. SF is as much of a remote outpost as Fargo to anywhere outside of the bubble.
I love this attitude. I have competitors who think like this, and we regularly outperform their cosmopolitan asses from the isolated, small, midwest bubble. It has to be pretty humiliating for them. But at least they have cheap flights... which is nice, I'm sure.
