I hope they hold onto it as long as possible. The longer they continue to trot it out and act like it's a big attraction for them the more foolish they look.

If NDSU had it I'd be all for it going to the heritage center but since UND has it I hope they put it on the sideline for every game of their next 3-8 year. Have the players rub it before they come out onto the field. Put it next to Bubbles' chair at his weekly press conferences. Have Kennedy and Chaves pose for pictures with it to send out as Christmas cards. The more the better!

For real though... could you imagine if we never went on to play SDSU again, but we had the marker, and then SDSU went on to win another 8-9 national championships and we toted around the marker like it was the friggin Holy Grail?! hahah its just so dumb that they worship the thing like the golden calf.

It is either an inherently offensive trophy that should never be seen delicate human eyes
