Talked to Amy today. She was practicing at the FCC. She said that
she was playing the next three weeks. Said she couldn't believe
how far Ariya hit it in the match play. Hit her 3 wood an 2 iron as far as her driver
and she was hitting it solid. She and Grant are getting married on June 6.

If their first child is a boy, how long does Coach K have to wait to have them sign a LOI for him?

I believe that Amy will do whatever it takes to hit the same level and beyond that Ariya has, and I can easily see her becoming with class one of the main faces of the LPGA in the future! Whether that entails getting a bit stronger, course management, mental toughness and psychology (she will get some of that from Grant), putting or anything else. Just a bit more time in grade and hard work on a few key areas! I foresee Amy AndersonGo bison.jpg and Kim Kaufman, guns up.jpg the Dakota Girls, as reaching and exceeding the marks set by LPGA legends Marlene Bauer Hagge of Eureka, South Dakota, and the late Beverly Hanson of Fargo, North Dakota!!

On the other topic, what a marvelous couple she and Grant will be and a huge Horns Up and Congratulations to them both!! Like Thesocalledfan points out here, think of the future Bison five star athletes that might result from that union!! How bout them Bison?!?

7 over par after 2 rounds. Cut should be even par. Ugly 2 days.

Kim Kaufman will have to carry the Dakotas Banner this weekend dufferole. She made the cut at -2 and certainly could go low tomorrow to set herself up for a nice Sunday! This wasn't the week for Amy, but that is coming! Guns Up Kim!

Hopefully she can put a nice round together and make the cut dufferole.....little extra wedding and honeymoon cash! Can survive the bogeys but doubles are killers. Like the other Dakota Girl Kim Kaufman figured out as well some time back, they ain't cashing checks for 73-74 type rounds. On a brighter note, Kim started 3 under and looks to be playing very well! All of this arm chair stuff aside, they are both doing wonderful and anybody who thinks they can go out and shoot close to par under tournament conditions often finds out that when they get the chance, their numbers are closer to 8 or 9 over or WD and beyond type stuff....it is anything but easy out there. I heard once that it is far easier to go from 80 to scratch, than it is to go from scratch to winning money in competition at almost any level. Think of all of the amateurs and lower level tour players who would love to be playing the LPGA or the PGA.

Amy had an crazy 2nd round, 7 birdies and 4 bogeys to finish at even par for 2 rounds. Cut is projected at 1 under so she needs a little luck to keep golfing.
