Sounds like her short game is struggling. She's hitting greens but not close enough for one putters. Hopefully having her brother back caddying will help her game.

She had a bad day. 2 dbl bogies, 3 bogies, and 2 birdies for a 5 over par round. She sits 4 over with the projected cut at 2 over.

The doubles are tough dufferole and very difficult to overcome at this level. Amy will continue to move forward and fine tune what is needed and will get there though, as this journey is an endurance race and not a sprint! And to that I believe she is very well suited! The other Dakota Girl, Kim Kaufman, will carry the banner again this weekend paired with Lexi Thompson today in a few short hours!! That pairing could produce a wonderful result for both of them in this round and perhaps the impetus of playing with Lexi will help Kim to really shine on moving day! God Bless Amy and Grant and all of their fans here, Kim, Carson, Bisonville, and you and yours dufferole! And God Bless America! Happy Independence Day!

Kim and Lexi Thompson, who is arguably the finest female golfer in the world right now, played to a tie today and both enter the final day at 5 under. It looked like they would be paired up again for the final round, but pairings were changed to show Kim with Gerina Piller who is also at -5. Whoever she plays with tomorrow, Kim Kaufman can count on the support of North Dakota State and the Bison Nation along with that of our own Amy Olson of NDSU, Fargo, and Oxbow!! Rough Riders, Bison, Red Raiders, Jackrabbits, and dang near everybody north, south, east and west of the Red Rivers will all be cheering for Kim Kaufman of South Dakota and Texas Tech to win the Women's PGA Championship and pave the way for many more for The Dakota Girls!! Marlene Bauer Hagge, the late Beverly Hanson, Kim Kaufman, and Amy Olson may be separated by three or so generations, but they are all together in the hearts of LPGA fans of the Heartland!! The first TWO WOMEN'S PGA CHAMPIONSHIPS were won by Dakota gals in 1955 and 1956. It's time again!! How bout that Kim Kaufman and how bout them Dakota Girls?!? Guns up and Git R done Kim Kaufman!

Here's the final standings for this one Mr Meaty. Kim picked up another $25k or so this week as she had a disappointing final round and fell back a bit costing her a lot of thousands of prize money. Once again though: Hagge, Hanson, Kaufman, Olson.......just a matter of time before the last two of these Dakota gals listed here gets that first win and then it will be the skies the limit!! How bout that finish with Danielle Kang and Brooke Henderson?!? Huge Congrats to Danielle Kang for getting her first win and doing it in a major for over a half a million dollar payday!! And she was able to dedicate this win to her late father, whom she lost to cancer but spoke so emotionally and respectfully about. Hear, hear and nice job Danielle!! Can't wait to see Amy and Kim battle it out in a finish like that and for all of us to be able to see them being interviewed as the winner at the end of a tournament like this! Speaking of which was anyone able to catch any coverage of them in this event?

Amy had a rough start to the Thornberry Classic with a dbl bogey and a bogey but she ended up with 6 birdies for a 3 under round.

Perseverance one of her strengths dufferole! Hopefully tomorrow she makes a nice move for the weekend along with fellow Dakota Girl Kim Kaufman! Could easily see her doing very well over there in Cheesehead land, since they wear the Bison colors!
