That's what I am thinking. Question is, do I take my boys out of school for the week or do it just with the wife? Looks like I have plenty of time to figure it out.

Hmmm......FBS game thousands of miles away. Will need flights and hotels, and for it all to be cheap.

    Yep, I'm in.

It's looking to me like a significant driver in this matchup is that Arizona has been struggling with football attendance. Averaged a stated attendance of ~48K last year, with reports of actual attendance being much lower. Arizona stadium holds 57,400. I'll bet they would love an additional 5K+ tickets sold.

Heck did not even think of that! My mom and dad have a condo in Scottsdale. I'll just road trip from there! (Hope they still have it at that point....)

A lot of my farmer customers are not in the AZ homes yet at this time. I could go down and open it up for them for a week. They will be busy with soybeans.

I'm a little surprised and disappointed with a smaller guarantee of only $425k for the game, especially with Oregon paying $650k two years earlier in 2020 and Colorado paying $700k two years later in 2024.

I think that the low payout may be for a few reasons: (these are just spit-balling ideas, nothing definitive)

    1. Arizona is historically a mediocre team that has had a few good years here and there.
    2. We have a great record against FBS teams.
    3. Maybe Arizona will be giving NDSU some tickets where that can "do with as they please" (sell), especially if Arizona has a hard time selling tickets.
    4. NDSU wanted to get a guarantee game set in stone.

Kind of related - I wouldn't be surprised if NDSU schedules like Montana does - a FBS game every other year along with a FCS home and home. The road game would be the year we don't have a FBS game scheduled.

    It could look like this:
2020 - at Oregon, FCS in Fargo
2021 - FCS return game away

2022 - at Arizona, FCS in Fargo
2023 - FCS Return game away

2024 - at Colorado, FCS in Fargo
2025 - FCS return game away

Most of Arizona's early season games are a scheduled for night. Last year all of their September games were at 7:30 or 7:45pm pacific time.
