I looked at their San Diego State game last year it only had 40K attendance (maybe tickets sold) max capacity is 50K. This will be the week after they play Mississippi State at home so interest will be down too.

Do i need to add Purple so everybody understands..."a lowly FCS team?"

It would be similar to us hosting Ferris State - would you be super excited to see that game at the Fargo Dome? (Ferris State has won last 2 of 3 D2 titles and have had a few guys make NFL practice squads).

Us hosting Ferris State would be like Bama hosting NDSU.

The equivalent here is more like Albany, McNeese St or Houston Baptist hosting Ferris State.
We should be (heavily) favored to win.

I think tickets will be pretty easy. I did sign up on their website to get emailed about single game tickets so we'll see what information that yields. I'm thinking going a few days early and getting a house with a pool, etc.

Nice, google says it's a 25 hour drive, so hope the flights are cheap.

Bison did host Ferris State in 2013. According to GoBison attendance was over 18,000.

Some of the FCS non-conference opponents were not any better than this "lowly D-II" team.

That made me curious so I checked for me.....it would be a 31 hour drive! Yikes. I don't think I would ever drive more then 7 hours one way and even that is stretching it. Cuts in to the fun time too much.

It's an easy drive down the freeway from Sky Harbor to Tucson. Just keep that in your back pocket.

Made the drive from Phoenix to Minneapolis in fall of 2019. Do not recommend it.

If car rentals are still hard to come by, a greyhound from the airport (well nextdoor to the airport) in Phoenix to Tucson is 22$ right now. Just saying.

I looked to see what it is out of Bismarck for me and it was about $450 round trip.
