Our high school coach went to the coaching clinic put on by NDSU this past weekend. He mentioned that Cain sat right behind him in the stands during practice. Said Cain was critical of everything going on. For example, quarterbacks not getting it out of their hand quick enough, or a runningback not lowering his head to gain that extra yard.

Our high school coach also said that our defense is light years ahead of our offense (his opinion). That at our quarterbacks struggled in the third down portion of our scrimmage. Threw multiple picks. Also said that he thought Van Dellen looked best out of them all. So take that for whats its worth.

Not doubting your sources but if Cain was so critical of future teammates why would he want to play for the Bison?? Also wouldn't it make sense that the offense would be behind the defense with a new Offensive Coordinator who is possibly tweaking some things?

Over the years it is rare that the offense is ahead of the Defense in our spring ball.

I really hope Cain can help the team and get better but till I see it on the field I will continue to be cautiously optimistic. Didn't we have a "big time" DE transfer a few years ago from Wisconsin that made it what a week in fall practice?

Nothing wrong with being critical of people.

Maybe he can bring some more insight and that will help the qbs and rbs.im sure he will be here all summer trying to get up to speed. Never hurts when you have a guy play big 10 and bring some things they taught there.

This Bison defense should be light years ahead of almost every team in the Country this year. So that sounds great to me.

Unless my memory is bad I don't recall every getting a Wisconsin transfer DE. I think there was a transfer we were targeting but he never committed because he missed his girlfriend or something
