Rule #76: No excuses, play like a champion!
Well at least he got a ring for his troubles. I'm assuming he gets a ring this year if we win it again since he was on the team to begin the season?
Cain had a couple of misses on that series. He dropped what looked like a catchable ball on a screen to him in the slot, and that corner route he cut short or got tangled up with another receiver. Stick did not look happy after that series and Cain looked frustrated as well.
He never made a huge splash in the passing game, but he busted his butt pass blocking. There are plenty of long runs where he was key as a downfield blocker. Unfortunate to see his time here end this way. Don't know all the back story, but I wish him well and hope in time any ill feelings blow over. That tweet is not a good look however.
Nice of him to take a shot at the team and University of the way out. Odd how easy it is for him to forget the chance he was given and the education he received while he was here. No promises are ever given by this team that you will be a superstar, only that you are given the chance to prove yourself. Not the fault of the team or school that his time was wasted, look in the mirror D-Bag before making comments like that. 3 more games to go and he for some reason could not manage to stick it out, not as mutual as the story is told to the public, something went down and the team tried to help him save face.
From the movie THE PROGRAM
Regent Chairman: This is not a football vocational school. It's an institute for higher learning.
Coach Winters: Yeah, but when was the last time 80,000 people showed up to watch a kid do a damn chemistry experiment? Why don't you stick the bow-tie up your ass?
Williams has 1 game remaining until he can no longer redshirt. He dressed last game but did not play.
No way he plays against Colgate. If he plays in the semi or is saved for the championship tells me which game the coaching staff feels is the real championship.
If it's the Bunnies in the semi I'd play him then. If not keep him for the Natty in Frisco to face whoever makes it out of the BigSky bracket.
