The Mount is officially in the tourney now after that win.

That final score was so close to being weird.

    Final score:
    66 New Orleans
    67 Mount St. Mary's

    Final official seeding:
    67 New Orleans
    68 Mount St. Mary's

Gonzaga's 7 footer is rated to be the 14th pick in this summers' NBA draft by NBAdraft.net.

No, not the big guy from Poland, but the freshman from Las Vegas, Zach Collins (230 lbs).
Good luck to the Dauminator with all that! Would make sense the 'Zags would make Daum
defend the post to try and draw some fouls on him.

Karnowski, all 300 lbs of him, is not predicted to be drafted.

So, why is West Virginia 24 in RPI (which feels right with glance through schedule) but 4 in Sagarin? that seems like a heck of a big difference. I need to know if they can beat Notre Dame.

They are #5 in Kenpom...RPI doesn't take in account a lot of things like margin of victory.

I have them over ND and I think they could take the Zags as well.
NDSU to the FBS always. In all ways.

If you're looking for metrics to help you pick winners, you probably shouldn't put much weight on RPI.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

The three systems(RPI, Sag & Kenpom) use different philosophies to get their results. RPI is mainly based on the records of your opponents. As such, it's mostly a gauge of strength of schedule. Sagarin is based on score differential. This makes it a much better predictor of future results. Kenpom is based on offensive and defensive efficiencies. Basically how many points you score per possession versus how many points you give up per possession. This also makes it better at predicting than RPI.

I took ND as a homer, but also, WVU is big on turnovers, ND doesn't turn it over. ND is also shooting 80% from the line as a team.
