He reminds me of stick, they both were the leaders of the recruiting class and help keep it together. Especially with stick when bohl left. Have to like that leadership quality in your qb

To a guy who they haven't even shown any interest in? I know PGT was a signing day eve flip to NDSU but he was a guy they were recruiting hard for some time. It could be that 247 wasn't completely accurate but they show no interest whatsoever from Boise before tonight.

It's just seems like a drunk guy who thinks he's a player hitting on a girl 5 minutes before bar close when he hasn't talked to her all night.

Can confirm @SeeMurphsTweets tweet, 1st team all-state RB from @Oakgrovers, Ben Hoggarth, is going to sign with NDSU tomorrow as a preferred walk-on. The Bison are looking at him as a RB to start his career. He rushed for 1,818 yards and 20 TD this season, also had 133 tackles.

I like this, good baller. Keeping the local recruits we want as Bison.

For those that follow recruiting closely, how is this new signing period liked by the staff and recruits?

Honestly, I'm thrilled to see this studs choose NDSU, but at the same time understand that there is chance not all will become Bison on the field whether by choice or unfortunate circumstances.

Tough to say, this is uncharted territory.

I am sure the coaches will be glad to wrap up a majority of the signing class 3 weeks before the National Championship. Also they have more time to prepare for the occasional player who flips. They will know who is NOT committed tomorrow and will have more time for a plan B or just pull the offer. That can derail everything.

Curious if the February signing date will be a bunch of scrubs or if it will truly be for late bloomers or overlooked gems.

He's my favorite player on defense. Anyone who reads this board knows I am obsessed with edge rushing DEs so take it for what it's worth. Kids probably going to contribute early in his career as a nickel pass rusher. He is as quick as a cat around the edge.
