Join the Green and the Gold Collective to take Bison football to the next level. Starts at $10 a month
The Green and The Gold Collective is excited to announce our #DriveToFive membership campaign. The goal of this campaign is to get to 500 monthly members. Reaching this goal will help us provide financial support to NDSU student athletes, including every returning member of the football team that saw action on the field last year!

It looks big because 2017 was a "down" year for donations. It was still good, but it flat-lined for a year compared to the previous growth rate. But 2018 caught up and continued the previous growth, so it looks really impressive. Here's the last 4 years of data(all that was available on the TM website). I might see if I can find older years on GoBison.

Interesting because 2017 was an "up" year for many schools as donors rushed to get the benefit of itemized deductions before the standard deduction was doubled in 2018. The Iowa State AD, an accountant by training, did interviews encouraging people to make their 2018 contributions in 2017.

Is teammakers a calendar year end 12.31.2018 or a fiscal year end (any date besides 12/31), so lets use 8/31/2018 so team makers year matches the school year. Sept to Aug.
If they are a fiscal year end, August 2018 year end for example, that would include the December 2017 bump in donations to team makers to take advantage of change in tax law.
Something I heard, persons that didn't prepay 2018 in 2017 were given a 1 time discount of 30-40% to account for the loss of charitable contribution. If that is the case, you could see a lower fiscal 2019 payment by TM.
Nonetheless TM has come a long ways.
There was no discount offered for 2018 dues.

Since NDSU is a June 30, 2018 fiscal year end. The amounts noted would have included advanced payments made the end of December 2017 with the change in tax law.
As for discount in dues, a Team Maker that I do work with told he was given a discount. One time deal. Must be FOP.
NDSU is a fiscal year end, but Team Makers is a calendar year end, I believe. I think NDSU, the NDSU Development Foundation/Alumni Association, and Team Makers are three separate legal entities. I ran into it a while back when I tried to compare NDSU and UND giving. You can't do an apples to apples comparison because TM and the Development Foundation are separate entities, while UND's Champions Club is actually just an extension of their Alumni Association and Foundation. You see the fiscal year differences because TM announces their yearly results in late Jan/early Feb, while UND announces in late July/early Aug.
