One has to remember why they left the Big Fluffy. It wasnt so NDSU could benefit.

My vote doesn't mean much, but I thought UND in Big Sky was better for both NDSU and UND. With UND in the Summit League and the MVFC conference, they are going to be a big distraction for both schools. This (IMHO) was a bad decision.

I suspect a lot of it was driven by the budget cuts in the University System, where it was not as easy to justify the travel associated with a Big Sky affiliation when membership in the MVFC would allow for closer games.

Still not a good day for both schools, IMO.

Yeah wasn't that nice that the MVFC was there to bail out stupid little brother UND. Now we all have to suffer because of UND's stupidity.

I'm sorry, I forgot UND people would be lost on the meaning of "classy," especially in regards to satirical humor.

This UND deal is nothing. Pound the hell out of them every year and they will wish for the days of the Big Sky.

This might end up being the biggest consequence for UND. If they were in the MVFC in 2016, would they have made the playoffs? I would guess no.
However their coach (give him some credit) and the admin in Grand Forks have done a good job of ramping up their program. They were better in 2016 than a lot of people thought they would be. If they keep getting better, they will have a presence in the MVFC. Probably should add, my preference would be one hockey program in ND. One D1 football program in ND. This arrangement in my mind improves the chances of national titles by ND universities, and deep playoff runs.
