I think that's the obvious place for him to go. That article someone posted a couple weeks ago "predicting" the next 5 FCS champs even said CK will have left to be Dabo's DC in the blurb about one of out years where they had us winning it all.

Some say it's a backward place. Narrow minds on a narrow way, but I make it a point to say. That that's where I come from.

I have said it before but I do think Coach K is a defensive genius. I think there are points over the last 3 years where you can see when he has stepped back into the defensive coach's room and put his spin on things. I can't think of any reason why he wouldn't be on someone's radar as a P5 school's DC. Say it is sooner than later and it is this off-season, he could very well have 3 NCs in 4 years. The only thing anyone could criticize him about would be the amount of players were recruited before he took over. A lot of those on the roster before he became head coach were recruited by him anyways.

A DC role wouldn't have to be filled until after the season. The issue of continuity doesn't seem to be an issue at NDSU as the next guy is expected to keep the program within the built parameters. I have also said before that I have no problem with NDSU being the premiere stepping stone program in college sports. The Bison then have the luxury of drawing the most motivated coaches to carry on a tradition while sharpening the edge they need for the next level. Coach K sold to those recruits the last time there was a coaching change that it is always about the program and not about any one person. When it happens again, the next guy will have to preach that. The good thing is Klieman has already set that foundation. There is nobody that is indispensable. When the day, week, month, or season is over with, it is about the herd. The yellow and green will always be here. People will come and go.

I think that would be one of the best ways to lose coach k. He could go to a P5 and we wouldn't lose the majority of our staff

Venenables is making over a $1 million as DC at Clemson so won't probably going anywhere soon.

I wouldn't take those articles remotely seriously.

BTW Does our long lost O coordinator come back if CK does leave... BV :-)

Yeah, he wouldn't go there to be a coordinator, I doubt he'd go there for something else.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
