Because they don't have to release them yet and they would rather use drug use to their gameplan advantage. Its as plain and simple as that. They coaches/program know. They would rather Youngstown be in the dark on who they should prepare for.

Nothing has been confirmed and I'll never be convinced it wasn't PEDs absent an official on documented announcement, although if the suspended players who are not seniors don't play next season, then I guess we will know that it was PEDs rather than recreational drugs as per the NCAA drug suspension policy. Time will tell.

The penalty for a positive test for a performance-enhancing drug (PED) is strict and automatic: student-athletes lose one full year of eligibility for the first offense (25 percent of their total eligibility) and are withheld from competition for 365 days from the date of the test. The penalty for a positive test for a substance in the street drug class is withholding from competition for 50% of the season in all sports in which the student-athlete participates. A second positive test for a street drug results in the loss of a year of eligibility and withholding from participation for 365 days from the test.


So in essence JMU will lose less the doping seniors, 10% of its team for at least half of next season or at least 10% of its team up untill the quarter finals.....again less the senior dopers. Of course, there was probable another test after the NDSU Game and will be a test abfter the Natty. Being we are tlaking about approximatly 10% of the popping with just one test, I would venture to say more will POP!

Does this taint these two teams? Well put it this way...if the Bison were in their 6 th straight championship game, had the same number of suspensions for any kind of drug use, then yes I would look at the 6th one much differently than the previous ones. It would taint that 6th one for me.
