In conference play we were:
10th in passing offense at 144ypg, lowest since we joined the Valley. During our Natty runs we avg. in the mid 180ypg.
4th in offenseive 3rd down conversion, 41.7% lowest since 2010.
7th in defensive 3rd down conversion, 42.6% lowest since we joined the Valley. Our championship teams avg. 25%,

And despite this we went 7-1 in Valley play. I think injuries were part of the problem on defense but we gave up a lot of big plays. Offensively we need more balance. When teams used to crowd the box we made them pay. Couldn't do that this year!

Our Championship teams didn't have numbers like this!

I like the fact that they've expanded the roster to include a special listings area for the 17 signees. Have they always done this and I've missed it?

Who do you think will be the starting line backers on game 1? I'll go with Board, DeLuca and Plank. I'm assuming Board improves over spring & fall. Cox will split time with Plank. Just a guess on my part.

Nothing against Plank, but I have a feeling Cox will be the starter from Day 1 this upcoming season.

If Cox is the day 1 starter that's a good sign. Means he's coming along the way they want. It would be nice to have the experience Plank has to fill in where needed.

Plank may be more of a situational LB in his final season. Think this off-season will determine if Board can be a full-time starter. The two outside spots will probably come down to depth/progress in the off-season by Board/Cox/Jordheim/Marlette. Maybe someone like Mercadel or Brinkman could come in a snag a spot.

I like the thought of this. Think of the ground these guys could cover and how hard all these guys hit. All three are crazy athletic.
