Man this is the best time of the year! Another year with NDSU in it at the end of the year and another shot at the Bunnies. What are you most excited to see this week the second time around?

For me I can't wait to see our D-line step up to a big challenge. We obviously miss Tanguay in the middle but we are supposed to have some of the greatest DE's in the league. Seems like we haven't had much of a pass rush at all lately unless we blitz. I know the gameplan vs the SDSUs and EWUs type of teams for NDSU has been to rely on the front 4 to provide a pass rush and let our LB's get back and help in pass coverage. I'm excited to see those guys have a great game and get after Christion. Honestly I think it's going to be hard for the Bison to win if we can't do it.

We shall see, lets go Bison!!

I say we put Bruce in at fullback. Run up the middle. Have Bruce engage Rozeboom's ankle and torque the sh#t out of it, because apparently that's how football is played.

Our DBs playing like they did against Grizzlies in the playoffs last year.
" Our strategy for winning against BISON was simple, we put our WRs and RBs in a 1 on 1 situation with their defense in the backfield.....everybody knows they have some freshman who cannot tackle in a 1 on 1 situation.....Joe Glen"

I am excited to see Bruce used in more of an all purpose role. He is a hell of an athlete and can do so many things so well...he needs more touches now that he's getting healthier.

Other than that I look forward to watching the secondary from SDSU. Everyone talks so much about the big 2 from SDSU on offense, which is warranted, but there doesnt seem to be any chatter about the secondary from the jacks matching up against a receiving corp that has a lot of capable players from multiple positions. SDSUs pass defense is probably their weakest spot on defense...hopefully we expose them a bit with play action.

sdsu is going to have to stack the box if they want to contain the running game and it was clear last week that we can exploit that through a multitude of ways.

All of the talk is about the SDSU offense, but don't forget we played probably the best passing attack in fcs football in ewu and although we gave up a zillion yards and 40+ points, we still came out with the w. This isn't some David vs Goliath match up.

stay on schedule, handle adversity, and keep the gas pedal down for 60 minutes

This. Our secondary is playing so much better than they were early in the year. Jaylon Allison is starting to look like a shut down corner. Dom Davis is making an impact in the slot. Grimsley is playing his best football right now and is tackling very well. Dempsey is playing like an All American. The jury is still out on Wimbush but he's been our best tackling CB. Even McCoy has improved quite a bit.

I wouldn't call it excited to see, but the adjustment the defensive coaches and players make to the short to medium yardage 3rd down plays. Every, single time they'd lineup in shotgun with a RB to a side of the QB and run QB keep with him following his blockers. You could see it coming every time and yet we never adjusted to stopping it. I'm not concerned about the defensive backs as they did a fairly decent job the first game with SDSU's playmakers making some really good plays that I don't see happening again. Especially for as far as the DB's have come throughout the year. I like Dom Davis in at the nickel. Don't play a LB on the TE and if you do, it had better be man and not zone coverage. I'm also looking forward to see what Stig has left in his magic hat because he threw about everything he had in his bag of tricks to get the last game. Not sure what's left but he always seems to have something. I wouldn't be surprised to see a trick play out of NDSU if the game is tight and the time is right. Also, if we get a lead, I'm really interested in seeing how much of the jugular we go for. There should be no let up this time. It's statement time.

I am so sick of the Bison already. Win this, win that, blah, blah, blah. I'd really, really like to know how they do it. I swear they have to be the luckiest sob's on the planet. Just sick of this bs, just fed up.

Offense needs to control the ball, establish the a running game that cuts down SDSU's possessions. Also helps keep our defense as fresh as possible. Our offensive line is the key to this game in my opinion. The added running of designed runs for Stick have opened up the playbook a bit more. We need to control the line of scrimmage like we have the past 5 years against SDSU.
