Bison always seem to peek at playoff time. Starting with YSU the Bison have begun to ramp it up. Funny thing is, I do not believe that the team has even opened up the playbook very much this year. Have we even seen a trick play or anything out of the ordinary so far this season? Not anything significant to my knowledge. Stick has been kind of held back this year for the most part. He will be unleashed in the playoffs when needed. In spite of injuries, the defense has played fantastic since SDSU.
Watch for the Bison to continue their surge to the playoffs with a convincing win today. Keep the team healthy and if the game is in hand get the starters out quick by the mid to late 3rd. Enjoy the bye week to get rested and healthy.
Watch for a big day running the ball as the passing game needs to make a statement. Not to win the game, but to put teams on notice that NDSU is not a run only team and to get defenses from loading 8-9 guys into the box. 15 completions for 220 yards passing and a TD or two would be nice. Ground game churns out 250+ yards. Also a special teams score could be in the picture.
