I'm curious about your UNI/SDSU boner and how you square that with your FBS thirst.

Neither of those teams will ever sniff FBS so which rivalry will you desperately flog? Because nobody is going to give a shit about NDSU as an opponent in FBS.

The FCS crowd's argument for staying FCS = all things El Chapo. "Chapo is inconsistent; Chapo doesn't kick in enough money; Chapo is too critical; Chapo is a dick to ML and DB; Chapo trolls FBS boards; Chapo is a hypocrite as he still likes certain FCS rivalries...and for all these reasons, we should stay in FCS." It isn't about Chapo, or Lakes, or whatever his primary moniker is. NDSU outgrew FCS after the 5th or 6th national championship. We're bleeding fans and we're bleeding relevancy. We need to move to FBS.

I don't care what Jim says. That is not the real Ben Franklin. I'm 99% certain.

Youre focusing on just one facet of an FBS move. The move has to be whats best for NDSU as a whole. Not just for a some fans whos boner is directly tied to who the FB team plays.

If NDSU thinks an FBS move is whats best for the university then Im all in.

Professorbum's broader point is true though. There are literally hundreds of examples in the last 2 months on here of an individual dismissing the idea of FBS for no other reason than that Lakes supports it lol.

Just because someone you disagree with likes something, doesnt mean its a bad idea.

Conversely 56, your opinion of "if NDSU thinks its good, its good. If it thinks its bad, its bad" is completely hairbrained. This, Ironically is exactly the same logic as thinking something is bad because Lakes thinks its good, and visa versa.

Unironically, you hold both of the illogical opinions above, so at least your consistently illogical.

An idea is either good or bad on its own merits. It doesnt matter who's idea it is. People you like, arent always right, and people you dont like arent always wrong
    1. The FCS was the Best option for NDSU for a very long time.
    2. As a general rule- the FCS sucks at football and has proven that is not committed to football at all.
    3. It's time to go FBS

I dont think his stance is "if ndsu say good its good, if they say bad its bad." I think his stance is likely he trusts people with much more information and technical knowledge to competently do their jobs.

Pat's not a dumb guy who blindly trusts the university.
