Man, that was just the worst. Not only did they come in and beat us, they threw those stupid streamers all over the place and just left them there for us to pick up.
How fortunate are we that we can pretty much look back at this entire decade and count on one hand the amount of times we've truly been disappointed as a fanbase. What a time to be a Bison fan!! (said in the fatigue thread too lol)

Not probably worth it to them in the short term. Long term, the constant trickle of lost fan interest should damn well be concerning to the Athletic Department. I know, I know sports overall is experiencing reduced attendance. The reality is that when we have 12K fans at the dome for a game that's 65% of capacity. The equivalent at Alabama would be that they have 65,000 in a stadium that holds 100K. They aren't seeing attendance 35% under capacity. I'm not sure if additional advertising is the solution or if different types of marketing/advertising would work better. But I don't see much change in how games are promoted from 5 years ago. To my layperson's eyes it would seem that trying some new and expanded approaches should be warranted. It's been mentioned before by others, this is entertainment. Find ways to up the entertainment value. If the competition at the FCS level isn't going to continue to do it on it's own, the Athletic Department needs to find other ways to create excitement around gameday. FBS is not fully in the athletic departments control. They have much more control over gameday atmosphere and I don't see them trying new things in that regard. ML should be criticized for that.
As long as they keep playing Cotton Eye Joe I'm good with whatever changes they make.

Yep, preserving the brand is most important.
There are a lot of season ticket holders who keep their tix for the rights to the playoff seats. Imagine what they'll be thinking on Saturday when there are empty blue seats in front of them for $50 a pop. No season tickets, no TM dues, nothing
