    Default ND Primary Residence tax Credit

    North Dakota has a new property tax credit of $500 for you primary residence. You have to file for the credit before March 31st.

    There is also a generous tax credit for those over 65 and income less than $70,000. Prior to last year, the income limit was 40K.

    If your income is less than 40K, it reduces your assessed value by $200,000.

    If your income is between 40K and less than 70K, it reduces your assessed value by $100,000.

    You have to fill out an application for this one and send to your local city assessor.
