Why not run some paid commercial content on those screens so the NCAA can make some money while SoCon refs take 15 minutes to screw up a spot on 4th down.

I went to a Cowboys game and Luke Bryan was the halftime and the place was sold out. They have a much bigger stadium.. so don't tell me that wouldn't work here..

Also speaking of fatigued crowds one thing I will admit that got me pumped up in the past that they've quit doing is putting out hype videos for each playoff game. This one for the Richmond semifinal in 2015 is still my favorite.
