worst tailgate since 2005 too many 70+ people. wow.

hopefully this 11am game will get people drinking early & flip the switch

from 2008-2013 I swear I knew or recognized 75% of this fanbase walking around. now its bandwagon central, which is fine. but I feel a large chunk has fallen off to boredom with this level of play, the same 10 teams and NDSU fans are now educated enough to know there's only 4-5 teams that can actually beat us.. just some thoughts.

I say we sell out next 2 weeks and get our asses to Frisco
NDSU TO FBS. HAVEN'T WE WON ENOUGH?

It will not sell out next week... I'd expect attendance to be lower than it was this week.

Only 16,550 in attendance for the Montana game so 8,667 empty seats. Griz fatigue???

Yeah, it was bad all over. And I'm not even saying in comparison to regular season numbers just comparison to the last times these teams hosted 2nd round playoff games. In 2017 JMU drew 16,449 in the 2nd round... only 10,881 this year. Weber St drew 8,838 last year in the 2nd round.... only 5,422 this year. Even UCA drew 6,243 in the 2017 2nd round... only 5,127 this year. In 2017 with the exact same 2nd round opponent SDSU drew 7,815... only 4,102 this year.

NDSU actually came the closest, percentage wise, of any team hosting this weekend to their regular season average. 15,690 was 86.3% of the regular season average of 18,177.

Maybe our fans are actually less apathetic than fans elsewhere despite the "boring" games???

Maybe the other programs assume their season will ultimately end with an NDSU loss. FCS fatigue?

Not a good look for them. You see our game on espn 3 and it looks great, even with a below average crowd. You see brookings and there are 16k empty seats. Not a way to impress or wow any recruits

Eh, For the players and the coaches playoffs are extra practices. If you can get as deep as the quarters thats as many as four weeks extra practices that squads that don't get into the playoffs don't get to have. If you're building players, that's a big deal. Its reps that other teams don't get and its how Good teams can climb the ant hill to great.
