FCS Week 11

Four Games to Watch...
Northern Arizona at North Dakota 1 p.m. MidcoSN- Big game in Grand Forks, if UND wins they lock up a share of the Big Sky conference title meanwhile NAU is clinging to a shot make the FCS playoffs. The Lumberjack who already have four losses, desperately need to win this game. The Lumberjacks have been playing some solid football as of late, winners of four straight games which includes a 45-35 win at home over Montana. Really excited to see how Bubba tries to match up with NAU's receivers, perhaps the best group of recievers outside of EWU. Sounds like Studsrud will be back this week.

Charleston Southern at Liberty 2:30 p.m. ESPN3/ESPN Extra- Big South title game at Liberty, winner is in the playoff field while the loser is watching football on their couch on Thanksgiving weekend. Should be a fun game, their game last season was a 31-24 nail biter that CSU won. With so much on the line I expect another battle, maybe even OT.

Wofford at Chattanooga 1 p.m. SoCon Digital Network - Like NAU, this is a game that Wofford needs to win to keep their playoffs hopes alive. Wofford has played a ton of close games but their resume really lacks that signature win. Meanwhile Chattanooga is playing for a potential seed, their lone loss is to The Citadel and with a game at Alabama next week, the Mocs need to avoid going into the FCS playoffs on a two game slide.

Villanova at JMU noon - This week's FCS game of the week features a big battle in the CAA. Villanova is a team that is operating under the radar in the FCS, JMU and Richmond have attracted the lion's share of the attention in the CAA but now Nova has a chance to upset JMU and potentially put themselves in a position to be seeded. Of course for JMU a win locks up the CAA autobid and is one more impressive win to add to their resume.

This should be a fun game featuring a very defensively solid Nova squad against a high flying JMU team. The Dukes have put up 40 or more points in 6 of their 9 games this season, including two game where they scored 80+ points.

Western Illinois lost 31-26 to Illinois State last weekend.
Are now 3-3 in the Valley, 6-3 overall. The 'Necks control their own destiny.
Today they host Northern Iowa, finish the season at Southern Illinois.
Can they win out and set themselves up nicely for the playoffs?
It looks like only 4 teams from the MVFC will make it this year.
WIU and the others shouldn't count on a 5 loss team from making it
this year, like the Leathernecks did last year. (Although UNI with it's SOS may still be hoping)
Youngstown State 4-2, 6-3 overall, finishes with Southern Illinois at home
today and at Missouri State next weekend.

If the get the anvil instead of the Coyotes, then wow, just wow.....

I was watching this. The Salukis came back and tied it. Then the Penguins scored a TD to retake the lead with about 4 minutes left. Then the feed died.
