Who's going?
Who's going?
There is our cupcake. Now lets get an FBS
Butler has a football team?
I'll be there, but I will say that I'm a little less excited now as I was before. I'd already written off the Butler game in my head as one to sell my tickets for and avoid because non-scholarship schools are who cupcakes schedule when they want a cupcake. It will still be a fun weekend and I'm interested to hear exactly what's in it for NDSU and who is going to back fill the other date at the dome, but I've got to admit that Gabe and PL are right, Butler isn't going to excite many down here unless they are really casual fans who associate them with Basketball and assume their football team isn't hot garbage.

Some say it's a backward place. Narrow minds on a narrow way, but I make it a point to say. That that's where I come from.
Guys there will be beer at Target Field. HOW DARE THEY!!!
Hail Hydra.
I will say I love that they made Dave St. P go to Fargo for the announcement though.

Sounds like $$$ will be dependent on attendance but if people show up it's an FBS sized payday.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
If this is in addition to 6 home games as it has been stated I can't really understand what people can complain about. Think about it this way, if NDSU were to play Butler in Fargo it would be a snoozefest of a game. 42-0 at halftime and the dome atmosphere in the 2nd half would be reminiscent of a 2002 home game with about 8,000 people there. We're not losing a tailgate. We're not losing value on season tickets, in fact I'm sure season ticket holders will have to buy tickets to this game separately.
This is really just a party with a Bison football game going on in the background. We'll cheer for the 1st quarter and after that it'll be more about the event than the football game.
Is this game so we can continue to get the recruits from the Minneapolis area?
YAWN!! Butler!? Wtf.... I'll pass
