I think I would have went for 2 there. They probably convert 70+% of the time and even if you don't get it Clemson will kick the extra point.

Thought the same thing, but it worked out for UL. Clemson quickly scored but failed on the 2pt. UL still up by 2, though Clemson just got the ball back.

12 men on the field and UL still couldn't stop Clemson from scoring a TD.

Not really sure why Clemson decided to go for 2. Didn't hurt, but didn't really help either. The TD put Clemson up 4. The 2pt put them up 6. How does that make things better than up 5? I guess now there's a chance of blocking the XP if UL scores a TD to send the game into OT.

I don't think it makes much of a difference TBH.
