Not sure if this question has been asked yet, but if the major hangup is the fact that Target Field is a baseball stadium, what would the cons be to finding a week that the Gophers aren't using TCF Bank?

I think the answer to all of this is the Twins are out to find a new way to make money and they are instigating this. Until similar invitations come from those facilities, I don't think it will happen.

Some of the cons would be if we lost a home game over it. What will be the money split? Also the opponent is important. You have those same cons with a baseball stadium. But the stadium issue is more of a fan concern. The rest is administrative.

I would think the goofers have to sign off on it and I don't see that happening without a big chunk to them. UM are the owners of the Bank. It is one thing to allow schools not in your recruiting lane play in your stadium, it is quite another to allow schools who are, even if you deny it publicly.

Playing an FBS there is a pipe dream. Only scenario I can think of for that is a payday that a team couldn't resist. Unlikely.
