Actually thinking about it you are right on this one. I was up in Minard Hall a couple of weeks ago and six kids were lined up waiting for class and every one of them was tapping away.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

I have kids who do it too. I was resistant to technology changes but I have to admit that i prefer the new to the old school technology I grew up on. If you dont use it, you won't miss it. But once you use it, you cant live without it. It's kind of like a drug

The saddest part of that is that they were quite possibly all texting each other...

Texts are useful at times, but it annoys me quite a bit when it takes 30 minutes of texting or IMing back and forth for something that could be accomplished with a one minute conversation. Not to mention how it so poorly conveys demeanor/attitude that it often results in people over analyzing stupid crap.

WTF do you mean? It's a@@hole comments like this that are ruining the internet.
Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir."
Scrooge-"Are there no prisons?". "Plenty of prisons..."
Scrooge-"And the Union workhouses." . "Are they still in operation?". "Both very busy, sir..."
"Those who are badly off must go there."
"Many can't go there; and many would rather die."
Scrooge- "If they would rather die," "they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."

But mostly to make sure I don’t forget to get a license or application in for hunting. You know because I procrastinate till it’s deadline is 3 minutes away.

Pretty sure I wouldn't be able to work one of these myself properly the first few times. So not sure why we hammer the next generation on the rotary. Definitely is a laugh though!
