In the mid 90's 4-5k would show up to watch Bison Play at SCSU and Mankato. And those were not championship caliber teams.

I believe there is more pent up demand to see the bison play then you think. Right now many feel it too hard to get tickets in Fargo, so they can't come in masses.

Second you will 10 to 15k that regularly attend the games in Fargo and they will make the trip.

Again, give away a 10k tickets in the upper deck for high school students and their families.

Better option is to have the game in USBANK feel and fill the lower bowl(s) with 40k.

My thought is it is a conference game (USD or Northern Iowa)- and we get 100% of ticket revenue and the twins would get the concession revenue.

if we sell 22k more tickets at $40/ticket that could make up $ for not being able to get a FBS game

How do you know that thousands of alumni in MSP an surrounding areas would not go?

There is a reason they came to the Gopher games; it was a B1G game. And I don't think 10-15K will come from Fargo as we don't get 10-15 K to come to Brookings and there are plenty of seats!

I was going to ask the same thing, but these guys must be able to see the future or something, so why waste my time. It's going to suck, Target Field sucks for a football game, the opponent will suck, alumni won't go so that sucks, it's like 3 1/2 hours away so that sucks, Larson and his sucky gimmicks, Sioux Falls after all sucked, losing a home game for this would suck, downtown Minneapolis and the gangs there suck, Air Force would be a great opponent but that won't happen so that's a sucky idea, tickets are going to be like $60 so that sucks, being delusional and half glass full sucks too and you must suck if you focus on the positive things that can come from unique opportunities, we've peaked too if you haven't heard so that sucks, Game Day isn't coming either FYI so that sucks, no more Big 10 games so that sucks, all we get to focus on is Bison football now so that sucks, and we only get to watch a team full of young men that are trying to win another national championship that in spite of everything that sucks in the program right now are staying to be champions. I'm with those guys.

This whole idea is grasping for something to replace the fact NDSU's football venue is stuck at 19,000 for a long time. Lame attempt since no big game to go with a medium sized (baseball) venue 250 miles away from home. Wish this stupid idea would just go away.

To give an idea of the caliber of teams Syracuse plays at their home games in the Meadowlands, they are playing Notre Dame this weekend.

Most people I've talked to are excited about the possibility regardless of who the opponent will be. I think it would be a big crowd. A lot of people would make it a weekend trip to "the cities". For us MSP area folks, it's nice to go to a game without six hours in the car so attendance will be strong from this area. Oh, and those that don't have tickets might actually be able to get some.
