Butler's conference mate Drake lost to #24 Iowa State last year 27-24. I hope for a close NDSU win, so we can start the panic and histrionics right off the bat.

No idea how they are this year, but they have a good coaching staff. They generally compete for players with our NAIA and top D3 schools but can win them out because of the caliber of school Butler is and the attractiveness of their basketball program. They are located in a nice, older Indianapolis neighborhood too so a great place for local kids to go to school but stay close to home. This leads to an inconsistent caliber of player though. They are generally better than Valpo, but not nearly in the NDSU category. They'll have players who could play at NDSU but the Bison should win by at least 2-3 TDs. But you never know especially early in the season.
