Fanbase? I did not know they even had one. When I lived there, it was crazy how many don't even know they exist thanks to the Vikes.

The Gophers...through the decades...have been about 'grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory.' It has worn down the fan base to the point of oblivion. It's a little better now.

Yes...having the Vikes in town makes a difference...but there's enough people there to give them a strong fan base...if they could only find some consistent success.

I grew in Minnesota and didn't really know much about their fan base until they started playing NDSU a little more than a decade ago. I believe they all come from some unknown place in Minnesota called "Snob City."

You've been on here since July...we'll see how you feel after you've been here a while and start seeing the excuses...history repeats itself.
