PGT had a bad game covering the slot WR in this game. Not going to bash him but hopefully he makes some improvements.

I guess that is the nature of the Tampa-2 with the OLB covering the slot. But hats off to the WR corp of EWU.....they were good.

The biggest knock on PGT is his lack of speed.

That woman was also the official that called Deluca for a personal foul for apparently wrestling the QB to the ground too hard.

I still can't get over the rougher the passer where their QB was hit basically right when he threw it. Tom Brady wouldn't even have gotten that call.

He won't cite it because that call can't be defended. He started the tackle at the waist and was pushed down by the blocker during the throwing motion.

Hope Klieman gets some clarification on those cut block and some of the pf calls (especially the one on De Luca). Is this what the game of football is becoming or did these refs just take things too far?

Blocking Below the Waist
Offensive players who are outside the tackle box at the snap, and those who leave the tackle box after the snap, may only block an opponent below the waist if the force of the initial contact is directly at the opponent's front. However, they may not block an opponent below the waist in a direction toward the original position of the ball unless the ball carrier has clearly crossed the line of scrimmage.
