Sure appeared the Bison wanted to utilize Dimitri Williams often as I think he had at 2 early plays go to him. First one was a reception on a swing pass I think. The next was a pass that hit him right in the hands and he dropped it. His third touch he caught the ball and in the process of trying to gain YAC, he fumbled on contact. This felt like dejavu as he had a fumble last year in the opener at Montana. I know he battled injuries in 2015 and therefore he sort of disappeared after the opener, similar to how he disappeared Saturday after the fumble. I'd sure like to see this kid be successful, but turnovers are a killer. The Bison are -1 in the TO department and you know as well as I do that you have to win that battle.

The time it took for the refs to spot the ball, make calls, and generally get the friggin game going was unacceptable. I have no idea how anyone could argue otherwise.

Exactly. CSU pretty much got 2 or 3 'timeouts' because of this. In a game plan that is designed to wear down and tire the offense and defense, these are huge. I mean look at then UNI had all of those very convenient 'injuries' last year.

I don't know if this has been talked about but I don't think our secondary played all that well. I think CSU could have lined up #84 on the outside and thrown a back shoulder fade, jump ball, or a slant all day long and would have completed 8 out of every 10. I understand how tough those can be to defend, but EWU will definitely do this, mainly because they already do, so hopefully our guys can do a better job defending or this game is going to turn into a track meet.

I think CSU could have lined up #84 on the outside and thrown a back shoulder fade, jump ball, or a slant all day long and would have completed 8 out of every 10. I understand how tough those can be to defend, but EWU will definitely do this, mainly because they already do, so hopefully our guys can do a better job defending or this game is going to turn into a track meet.

Our corners and safties won't have to be as locked in on the run with EWU. Should help them a lot.
